These teachers commit to teach for two years in one of 39 urban and rural regions across the country, going above and beyond traditional expectations to help their students to achieve at high levels. Komen for the Cure is an international organization with a network of volunteers working through local affiliates and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Together we help the organization reach their goal of packaging over 200,000 nutritious meals in one day to be delivered to malnourished children living in a chronically food-challenged area in Tanzania. Gateway Greening is a St. Louis nonprofit organization that educates and empowers people to strengthen their communities through gardening and urban agriculture.
